6061 aluminum I-beams offer a strong, lightweight alternative to steel for structural applications such as marine environments, aerospace, and transportation systems, where corrosion resistance and machinability are important. We carry 6061 I-beam in two profiles: American Association and American Standard. The American Association (AA) profile features equal flange thickness and width, making it ideal for load-bearing applications like supports and structural frames where balanced strength distribution is essential. The American Standard (AS) profile has a tapered flange, reducing overall weight while maintaining strength in the web—perfect for platforms, walkways, and lightweight structural framing.
