Brass 385 round bar (architectural brass) is a free machining copper zinc alloy designed for applications requiring excellent surface finish, corrosion resistance, and decorative appeal. Known for its ability to polish to a rich, bright finish, C38500 is widely used in architectural, ornamental, and furniture applications. This alloy machines efficiently, with performance comparable to 360 brass, while offering improved aesthetics for visible components. It performs well in hot working operations but is less suitable for cold forming and not recommended for welding. Supplied in extruded condition, it provides reliable dimensional stability for precision fabrication.
