Copper Square Bar 182 (Chromium)

Copper 182 square bar (chromium copper) is a high conductivity copper alloy designed to provide an excellent balance of electrical performance, mechanical strength, and durability. Alloyed with small amounts of chromium, C182 offers improved strength and softening resistance compared to pure copper while maintaining excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. It provides very good workability and weldability when processed correctly and performs well in cold forming operations. For joining applications, C182 is typically brazed or welded in the softened condition to maintain its mechanical properties. The square profile offers uniform strength and dimensional stability, making it ideal for electrical and industrial components requiring consistent conductivity and reliable performance.
