This 301 stainless steel sheet with a 1/2 hard temper is commonly used for springs, washers, bracketry, and parts that require good strength and moderate corrosion resistance.
Due to its 1/2 hard temper, the 301 stainless sheet offers moderate formability but can be more challenging to machine compared to softer tempers. It is better suited for bending and forming than extensive milling.
301 stainless steel provides good corrosion resistance in typical atmospheric and mild chemical environments, making it suitable for various indoor and outdoor uses, but it is not ideal for exposure to harsh chemicals.
