Stainless Plate 303 is one of the easiest stainless steel alloys to machine, grind and polish. Toughness and corrosion resistance are slightly lower than most other stainless steels as a result. It is typically used in aircraft applications, machine parts, pump and valve parts, architectural applications, nuts, and bolts.

Chemistry Information : 303 Stainless Steel
Stainless Steel 303 plate offers excellent machinability due to its sulfur content, making it ideal for machining operations where producing complex parts efficiently is important.
While 303 stainless steel provides good corrosion resistance, it is less resistant than other stainless alloys like 304. It is best used in mildly corrosive environments where machinability is a key requirement.
Custom cuts are not available directly with this item, so the plate is shipped as full-size pieces only.
This plate is in an annealed temper with a Hot Rolled Annealed & Pickled (HRAP) finish, which provides a relatively smooth surface with good formability and machinability.
