D2 tool steel drill rod is a high carbon, high chromium, air hardening tool steel designed for applications where extreme wear resistance and long service life are required. Its high carbide content provides excellent abrasion resistance and edge retention, while air hardening minimizes distortion during heat treatment. Precision ground and polished to a 16 Ra surface finish and manufactured 100% free of decarburization, D2 drill rod delivers consistent dimensional accuracy and predictable performance in cold work tooling.

Applications: Punches, gauges, shear components, cutting tools, industrial knives, wear resistant tooling.
