Tool Steel Square Bar can come in four different ways depending on the material, Cold Drawn, Precision Ground, Ground Oversized, and Standard Tolerance. Precision ground and Ground Oversized material is ground to a maximum surface finish or 40 Ra on both the thickness and width. This material is produced from cross-rolled sheet or plate which produces a finer grain size and enhances the toughness of the material. This ground bar is 100% free of decarburization is completely spheroidized throughout. and mechanically straightened with a flatness aim of 0.005" per foot. Standard Tolerance Material is cut from plate and will be oversized to finish to the listed dimensions.
