Overview

309 stainless steel is a chromium nickel austenitic alloy that was designed for use in high temperature corrosion resistance applications. In elevated temperatures, 309 possesses high tensile strength, creep strength, and resists oxidation at elevated termperatures. It machines similarly to 304 stainless steel and exhibits fair formability.
